First year vehicle always have something that slipped through the cracks. Some safety related, some not.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHowever don't be discouraged, take our word for it, these are MINOR set back vs other brands and Kawasaki has your back!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSetbacks are one thing, and machine abuse is another to manufacturers. Kawasaki has been OUTSTANDING at warranties on the KRX or KRX4. They are nothing like Polaris, Canham, Honda or others who are looking for a way to \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e\"NOT cover\"\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e what needs replacing. Kawasaki is a stand up company, and 99% of the warranty issues we here about are the actual DEALER who is the probelm. \u003cstrong\u003ePlease keep that in mind.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnother thing to mention is you should purchase the\u003cstrong\u003e \"FACTORY\" \u003c\/strong\u003e3 year warranty before your 6 month warranty expires. The cost of replacing some parts on these machines can tripple the cost of an extended warranty. \u003cem\u003ePLEASE take our advise and make sure you are covered.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnother dealer trick is to sell you a \"Extended warranty\" that is \u003cstrong\u003eNOT\u003c\/strong\u003e from Kawasaki. Please dont fall for that trick, and understand if the dealer sells Kawasaki they\u003cem\u003e MUST offer you and sell you the factory extended warranty\u003c\/em\u003e. Verify if you have the new or old knuckle design. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe KRX had a flawed steering knuckle and A-arm design in early 2020. Cut or grind the corners of the knuckles. It may be some time before you can get your machine to a dealer for replacement, so we would recommend doing the cuts before you have a problem. We also do this modification to our NEW knuckles as well. There is no reason to pressurize a fuel system except for emissions. We learned there are WAY TO MANY OPEN HOLES in the interior! Some of them are directly inline with the tires and dirt flies in from front and back. BOOOO! Kawasaki makes a cab seal kit, but it only helps a little? Plug it in now and use it, or throw it in the glove box incase of emergency. The KRX has a safety switch built into the drivers seat belt clip. If the seat belt is not clipped in, the machine only hits maybe 10 MPH. The stock switch in the KRX seat belt is known to fail, leaving riders stranded in the middle of knowhere. Can you imagine being 100 miles away and only being able to do 10 mph back? No thank you! Typically 100 miles is average in a KRX. Here is a diagram from Kawasaki showing where 2 gallons of fuel is hiding. This issue creates less fuel pressure and lean air fuel ratios. This lean condition is the main cause for blown or melted down motors. Do yourself a favor and upgrade your factory strainer to our high flow fuel strainer. Its a simple 10 minute job and it should be done once or twice a year depending on your usage. Its cheap insurance! Add on our rear skid plate kit! 2020-2023 KRX and KRX4.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 255, 0);\"\u003eThe factory rear skid plate on the KRX 1000 is weak and made of thin steel. Its the same as other utv's, however, the KRX has tighter tolerances. \u003cem\u003eThere is not enough gap between the transmission and skid for offroad use.\u003c\/em\u003e Any damage to the lower skid plate causes the transmission case to crack and a new transmission is required. This is also allowing insurance companies to total the KRX for frame damage. \u003cstrong\u003eEven with 1\/2\" delrin skids,\u003c\/strong\u003e we have seen the factory plate bend and the transmission break. Install the small bent brackets to the front of the seat mounts with the 3\/8\" quick pin hole towards the front. Use the new 8mm Flange head bolts and flange nuts supplied. The nut should be on the bottom. Tighten just enough, so that you can still move the brackets by hand.  13mm wrenches. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e4. Install the small bracket with 2 holes connecting the two rear bolts on the seat from left to right. Use two 8mm cap head allen bolts and the 6mm allen wrench supplied.  Tighten just enough, so that you can still move the brackets by hand. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e5. Install the seat into the KRX. Align each front bracket and push the quick pins through. The small upper bracket should be outside the lower brackets. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e6. Now align the cap head allens installed in the rear of the seat into the aluminum cup locks installed on step 2. If they will not sit into the lower cups without force. Go back and loosen the lower large bent bracket for proper alignment. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e7. If everything is assembled and aligned. Tighten everything with the seat in the car in the sitting position. Dont lift it up or flip forward to tighten anything. Tighten in the following order.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA. Tighten the two 8mm Cap head allens at the rear of the seat. 13mm wrench. If needed use pliers to hold the head on the allen to get it snug.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eB. Tighten the front small bent bracket of step 3. 13mm wrench. The nuts are lock flange nuts which means they should not require a wrench to be tightened. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e8. Thats should be it for the drivers side.
