Hand sand the end of the crank and kraftwerks crank adapter with 60 grit or similar sandpaper. Generally apply red loctite to the end of the crank adapter where it will meet the crank. (example: putting 2 washers together, loctite goes in the center)\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAlso put loctite on the crank bolt threads and the acorn tapper of the bolt. When torquing down, torque it to 133 ft lbs. Not the 100 specified in the directions. Be sure to let the loctite have a minimum of 24 hours to set up before starting the machine. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOnce the above is done however. If you have a krx that seems to be running slower than before, or requires more throttle to get up to the speeds it would before. STOP DRIVING IT! Yes I run these filters in ALL OF OUR KRX's and customers KRX's. The plugged filter you have is an issue everywhere.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe filters we sell are the same filtration in available in almost every street bike, quad, and other brand UTV made for years, years and years. Dirt vehicle or street. So yes, they filter good enough for all other manufacturers but \"my competitor\" says no? They have even started threads about this, where dealers and tuners have responded by saying the stock filters sucked and closed shut immediately on the dyno. They would recommend the higher flow filters. \"A brand new KRX filter will suck shut\" under wide open throttle. The fuel pump is not getting enough fuel because of the stock filter.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAdd miles and dirt to them and they are inadequate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe stock ones are to restrictive and the KRX needs more fuel \"period\". In stock form it needs MORE FUEL. From the stock tune, to a rollover valve, to fuel filters, to a fuel block.(another argument). ALL ENGINES regardless of manufacturer or design will last with proper or more fuel. Running Lean will burn any and all of them down. These always maintained more PSI than our stock KRX pumps would.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn average the stock KRX or KRX 4 pump was producing 41-42 psi before removal. This was at fuel priming and running. This is below spec and was in fact running the KRX lean.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e(For example:) Our Kraken KRX buggy has an adjustable fuel pressure system. Pre-settings were at 45 PSI and resulted in a KRX that hardly ran and you could smell the raw fuel. It is shocking what only 1.5 PSI over can do!
